Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bilingual (English & Spanish) Payroll Specialist to join our team. As a Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for accurately processing payroll and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. This is a crucial role within our organization, as you will be responsible for ensuring that our employees are paid accurately and on time.
Duties:
- Process payroll for employees using our accounting software
- Calculate and enter employee hours, wages, taxes, and deductions
- Prepare and distribute paychecks or direct deposits
- Reconcile payroll discrepancies and resolve any issues
- Generate payroll reports for management review
- Maintain accurate records of employee data, including changes in status, benefits, and deductions
- Collaborate with the HR department to ensure accurate employee information
- Stay up-to-date with changes in payroll regulations and ensure compliance
Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of financial concepts related to payroll processing
- Proficiency in accounting software, such as Proliant or similar systems
- Knowledge of accounts receivable processes and procedures
- Familiarity with corporate accounting practices and journal entries
- Ability to analyze data and identify discrepancies or errors
- Excellent 10-key typing skills for accurate data entry
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality
- Good communication skills to collaborate with HR department and employees
